Via a footnote at Daring Fireball, here is Steve Jobs introducing the notion of the Mac as the hub to your digital life back in 2001. What is striking to me is how true they've stayed to this vision for much of the decade. The other thing is how they've systematically added pieces in the digital lifestyle space -- iPod and iPhone come immediately to mind. I think it was also in 2001 when the iPod gets introduced. Interesting to look back as we move into the second decade of this century.
